About

The goal of Whitelam Books is to provide the people of Reading and surrounding communities with personal, insightful service to obtain the next great book they'll read or give as a gift. We are committed to making this world a better place now and for future generations by promoting the value of and pleasure in reading and supporting efforts that enrich life in our community.

In addition to offering a curated selection of new books across a wide variety of genres, Whitelam Books also offers other unique literary gift items including mugs, t-shirts and prints, toys and board games, and storybook-related toys and puppets, greeting cards, and reading-related items like reading glasses and book lights.

Beyond retail, the book store strives to be a gathering place and an epicenter of community events. We regularly host author book signings and readings; book clubs, children's story times, and events that tie in with other Reading businesses and organizations.
